Marin MOCA Art Stars Summer Camp

. . . creating educational opportunities for children, families, and adults

Where students build confidence by discovering
new artists,
new art styles,
and new ways to see the world.

“The MarinMOCA camp keeps her engaged . . . she comes home with a more vibrant demeanor. Every child should have the chance to attend!”
-Parents of 2011 camper Nikita Park

July 9 – July 20, 2012
Ages 7-12

Each week students will produce their own, original artworks inspired by a famous artist. Students will learn about the inspiration artist through fun, interactive activities, and they will work together to develop their own interpretations of famous artworks. They will develop a deeper understanding of the inspiration artist by creating artworks in that artist's style, but each student will add his/her own unique take on the art making process and the subject matter. In the process, students learn about art making, art history, and themselves!
