The Exhibition
ART FWD: In Other Words takes its cue from artist Tucker Nichols’s trademark play with words. At MarinMOCA, he brings together fellow artists who borrow from a wide range of written communication — from vernacular signage to graffiti-like mark making, from handwritten correspondence to coded signs — to create work that is playful, poetic, and always deeply human.

Kids and caretakers alike love Family Day, where creative ideas abound, and in-person connection is guaranteed. On the second Sunday of each month, kids dive into hands-on art projects guided by instructors and Teen Council members while parents and friends chill in the galleries with great art, excellent company, and a free cup of tea. Help MarinMOCA cover materials and professional instruction for a full year of monthly Family Days.
-
MarinMOCA’s Teen Leadership Council – the only program of its kind in the North Bay – returns for 2026-27, helping Marin teens master real-world career skills as they design programs for their peers alongside top arts professionals. In its capstone, Young Artists for the Planet, teens co-create eco-focused artworks with acclaimed Bay Area artists. Your support keeps participation free, covers materials and installation, and pays artist-mentors competitively.

MarinMOCA’s exhibitions may be modest in size – but they are big on IMPACT! In 2027, we will partner with globally renowned artist Amy Franceschini; painting phenom Tiffany Bozic; visionary clay sculptor Ashwini Bhat; and our neighbors at Mill Valley Film Festival for a suite of shows sure to inspire. Your donation ensures our exhibitions always set the bar high and artists are compensated fairly.
