Tai Chi at MarinMOCA San Rafael

Eight Fridays, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, and June 6, 13, 20

10 – 11am

Instructor: Susy Olson

TEnjoy the ancient form of exercise first created in China and designed to improve and rebuild the body, mind, and spirit. You will experience peace and ease in movement. Tai chi takes a martial art format and transforms it into an expression of well-being and joy.

Beginners and experienced students are welcome.

The instructor will be teaching the innovative two-corner Zoom yang-style form of tai chi, based on the yang-style form created by H.H. Lui. Designed by Bradford Bennett, Ph.D., the two-corner form allows you to practice while turning in two directions rather than the four directions of North, South, East, and West.

Wear loose, comfortable clothes and soft-soled shoes if possible.

Instructor: Susy has practiced tai chi for 25 years. She holds classes in her home in El Cerrito. Susy makes her community teaching debut here at MarinMOCA. She continues studying with teachers from H.H. Lui family of instructors and also studied with Sifu Fong Ha in Berkeley.

All must sign a release waiver and register in the office before participating.

Fee: MarinMOCA members: $64 / Non-members $80

Where: Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, 1210 Fifth Avenue, San Rafael
