Expressive Abstraction: Discovering Your Unique Style

Saturday, November 15; 11am – 2pm

Instructor: Jasper Wilde

Expressive Abstraction is a hands-on painting workshop designed to help artists discover their unique artistic voice and develop their own visual language. Through a series of guided exercises using acrylics and mixed media tools, students will explore mark-making, color harmony, contrast, and composition.

Emphasis will be place on intuitive decision-making, experimentation, and personal reflection. By the end of the class each participant will have created an abstract painting that reflects their individual style.

This workshop is designed for those 14 years and above. All levels of experience are welcome.

An experienced instructor, Wilde has taught at SFMOMA, Root Division, ArtSpan, Ruth’s Table and Oakland Art Murmur.
