In this workshop you will learn a variety of exciting watercolor techniques and create your own decorative papers in a multitude of colors, patterns and textures. You will cut up your decorative papers and combine them with other art materials to make beautiful, original collages. No previous art experience is necessary. The instructor will provide all the supplies, but you are encouraged to bring any additional materials that inspire you or are meaningful to you.

Ilah Jarvis has taught watercolor all over Northern California for over twenty years, including at Studio One and The Richmond Art Center. She has exhibited her watercolors nationally and received a month-long residency at the Fundacion Valparaiso in Mojacar, Spain in 2003. She is a graduate of the California College of Arts (and Crafts) and is passionate about watercolor and the art making process. She encourages her students to challenge themselves creatively and to develop their own unique styles.
