Is your teen thinking about applying to art school or a college with an art program? Have you ever wondered what you should include or what pitfalls to avoid? Portfolio coach and educator Barbara Pollak-Lewis will present a lecture that shows case studies and general tips for making your work stand out and, more importantly, tell your story. This dynamic presentation is designed for high school students ready to elevate their artwork and stand out in the college application process. The fee for the lecture includes one adult and one teen.
Barbara will also be available after the lecture for a 10 to 15-minute review of personal portfolios and sketchbooks. If you are interested, you may call or email the museum and reserve a time. An additional fee of $25 will be paid directly to Barbara at the time of the review.
Barbara Pollak-Lewis is a fine artist, curator and arts educator based in San Francisco. Since 2016 she has focused on working with tweens and teens to develop strong art portfolios which emphasize creative exploration, conceptual ideas, and personal vision. Most recently she taught pre-college and Atelier classes at the California College of the Arts as well as individualized workshops in figure drawing, painting and portfolio development. She received her BFA in Animation/Film from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MA in Arts Education from Boston University.

Fees are due at the time of registration. You may cancel up to one week prior to the start of the class and the registration fee, less $25 for processing, will be refunded to you. Should you cancel less than one week before a class/workshop begins you will not receive a refund of any portion of the registration fee.
If MarinMOCA cancels a class/workshop, you will receive a full refund.
